The kitchen is warm and cosy on this dull day. On the windowsill, nestling within a plant pot, a jewel lies. Nurtured by my mother, the first crocuses of this new year have emerged from their long sleep. Almost iridescent against the grey of winter, the purple shines out, a beacon of promise.
Taking time out to ponder life and everything else. I’m pressing the pause button on my busy life for a year to reconnect with God, to re-energize, and focus on my creativity. Time out to blow bubbles, walk on the beach, write some stuff, do some needlework, and generally enjoy life once again. You can view my main blog at www.iggandfriends.wordpress.com. I also have another blog at www,faithinthehome.wordpress.com, and a arty/crafty one at http://52weeksofcreations.wordpress.com/. I hope you enjoy visiting :)
Well, they’re inside, so they are insulated from the cold, which has now arrived. Not as cold as you in Canada, but still a bit nippy for them outside!

It must be very early for crocuses. Hopefully they’ll make it through.
