Life, crafty stuff, long walks, thoughts, and little oddities.

Inspection at high tide

oyster catcher

High tide sweeps in

The oyster catcher marches

Back and forth

Stamping through ebbing water.

A general

Inspecting the troops

Wings tucked back

Like hands clasped behind him.

Long orange beak probing

The sand beneath

With curious disdain.

An unwary step

And off he goes

Black and white chevrons

Piping an alarm

Taking time out to ponder life and everything else. This is the space where I press the pause button on my busy life to reconnect with God, to re-energize, and focus on my creativity. Time out to blow bubbles, walk on the beach, write some stuff, do some needlework, and generally enjoy life once again. You can view my main blog at www.iggandfriends.wordpress.com. 1. Love this. I’ve watched many contemplative birds doing this pace back and forth on the shoreline in New England. Thanks for the image & the memory.
