Storm and sunset

The year seems to turn tonight

A nip of cold in the air

Evening’s fire lights up the sky

The first storm clouds of the season

Cast into relief against setting sun

The rain advances across the bay

Blown into the twilight

A violent patter of raindrops on window

Wind rising,

Whistling through the air.

Bringing with it

The scent of Autumn

Taking time out to ponder life and everything else. This is the space where I press the pause button on my busy life to reconnect with God, to re-energize, and focus on my creativity. Time out to blow bubbles, walk on the beach, write some stuff, do some needlework, and generally enjoy life once again. You can view my main blog at www.iggandfriends.wordpress.com. I also have another blog at www,faithinthehome.wordpress.com, and a arty/crafty one at http://52weeksofcreations.wordpress.com/. I hope you enjoy visiting :)

  1. Yes, Autumn. Something about Autumn that is so elusive. Happy September Days are wished for you.

  2. Just re-read the poem and heard the patter of rain on my window too. Did your poem do it? πŸ™‚

  3. Longing for autumn here in Hawaii as well, though at times I do miss the chill in the air.
    Nicely versed.

  4. Hope you’re feeling well again, despite the nip in the air πŸ™‚
