The Bench

At the side of the path

The bench invites me to sit

To soak in the calm

Listen to the wind

Rustling in the autumn leaves

Watch the play of sun

On the ground

And be

Just be

Taking time out to ponder life and everything else. This is the space where I press the pause button on my busy life to reconnect with God, to re-energize, and focus on my creativity. Time out to blow bubbles, walk on the beach, write some stuff, do some needlework, and generally enjoy life once again. You can view my main blog at www.iggandfriends.wordpress.com. 1. And the tree behind the bench seems to be posing in some very strange way, with arms aloft…

  2. Glad to see you posting again and to hear that you are back in ministry. Really lovely photos. I love the colours of Autumn.

  3. You captured some beautiful colours along with that bench. Fall is such a gift 🙂 Here’s hoping that Gonzalo did not shake the rafters too hard at your place. It left us pretty much alone over here.

  4. It is a lovely bench to sit on. Nice to walk along the old railway line (that never was) from Ballater towards Braemar. I look forward to the walk (7 Bridges) every time I come up to visit my mum who lives in the village.

Please feel free to leave a comment. I love to hear from you :)
